Who to bring back
Not everyone. Players with self-exclusion, limits or signs of problem gambling stay out of reactivation. The rest are split by churn depth and value: a regular who left a week ago and a one-off player from a year ago need different approaches.
Which offer to give
- The deeper the churn, the less you ask. Bring players back on their previous terms and with a smaller deposit: you do not know what happened to their finances in the meantime. Growing the deposit only makes sense for active players.
- Offer and games based on the player's history: the bonus type they took, their providers, similar slots and new releases that came out while they were away.
- An activation window of 72 hours or more: someone who has not logged in for a long time will not see the offer within a day.
- Non-round numbers like 111% stand out more in an inbox than the usual 100%.
How to measure the effect
Count money the same way: deposits and GGR of the offer group minus the control group minus bonus cost. Without a control group, the offer takes credit for players who would have come back anyway.
If it does not work
If emails get opened but not clicked, change the approach: the channel, the game, the offer format. Repeating the same mailing teaches the player to ignore your emails.
