How it works
A €100 deposit and a €100 sticky bonus. The player has completed the wagering and has €500 on the balance. They can withdraw €400: the bonus amount is deducted at withdrawal.
A non-sticky bonus works the other way round. The player plays with real money first. If the deposit grows to €400, it can be withdrawn without wagering, and the bonus is simply forfeited. If the deposit is lost, the bonus kicks in with its wagering requirement.
Sticky and non-sticky
| Sticky | Non-sticky | |
|---|---|---|
| Balance | shared, with the bonus inside | real money first, then the bonus |
| Win on the deposit | withdrawable after wagering | withdrawable at once, the bonus is forfeited |
| At withdrawal | the bonus is deducted | the bonus is already forfeited or wagered |
| For the casino | cheaper | more expensive, but clearer to the player |
Non-sticky costs more because it works as a second chance: those who win on the deposit leave with the money, and those who lose get another try at the casino's expense. On the other hand, it is easy to explain, and players trust it more.
