Max cashout: how much can be withdrawn from a bonus

Max cashout (max win from a bonus) is the limit on the amount a player can withdraw after wagering a bonus or free spins. Anything above it is forfeited. The cap cuts off the most expensive bonus outcomes.

Formula and example

Withdrawable = the lower of the balance after wagering and the capA no deposit offer of 50 free spins at €0.20 with a €50 cap: the player completed wagering and has €420 in their balance. They can withdraw €50.

Why it is needed

The cost of a bonus is driven not by average outcomes but by rare big wins. The cap cuts them off: the casino knows the maximum it can pay out from a single bonus. The lower the wagering requirement, the more important the cap.

What cap to set

  • Free spins: based on the face value of the pack, for example no more than twice the face value.
  • No deposit bonus: a small fixed amount.
  • Low-wagering bonuses and VIP offers: a tight cap based on the bonus amount. Low wagering without a cap gets expensive with a big player.
  • Welcome bonus with high wagering: a cap is often not set, since the wagering requirement itself does that job.

How to show it

State the cap in the offer next to the wagering requirement, not only in the general terms. A player who learns about the cap at withdrawal files a complaint, even if the rule was in the terms.
