VIP status match: a tier based on status at another casino

VIP status match (tier match) is giving a player a tier in your VIP programme based on their status with another operator. For example, a player with a high tier at another casino gets a similar tier with you straight away, but for a trial period with a play target.

How it works

The player sends proof of their status with another operator. The casino checks it and grants a tier straight away, but for a trial period. Target met: the tier stays. Target missed: the player moves to the tier they have earned on their own. This is how a VIP programme wins over a high roller: they do not have to spend months building up status from scratch.

How to check

  • Deposit and bet history, not a screenshot of the status. A screenshot is easy to fake, and it does not show how much the player really spends.
  • The same person: the name on the statement matches your KYC data.
  • Recent activity: play in the last 1-3 months, not a status earned a year ago.
  • Big players: a source of funds check before higher limits and large withdrawals.

Trial period

The tier is kept if the play target is met within the periodFor example, a gold tier for 30 days with a target of €20,000 of real-money turnover or €600 of NGR over those days.

During the trial period, lead with service: a personal manager and fast withdrawals. Unlock tier bonuses and gifts as the target is met, not all on day one.

Common mistakes

  • Trusting a screenshot. A tier with gifts and limits is handed out on the strength of a picture nobody checked.
  • All rewards on day one. Status hunters collect the tier bonuses and move on to the next casino. It is the same economics as bonus hunting.
  • Skipping checks for speed. High status does not cancel out KYC, the source of funds check or the check for risk signs. Big spending at another operator can be a sign of problem gambling, not only of value.
